Chelsea Barrows is a Developmental Psychology PhD candidate at Georgia State University, with a proposed graduation date of Summer 2022.

Her research has primarily focused on impacts of interpersonal interactions in secondary and higher education.

One significant focus of this research explored school safety in secondary schools, how this is impacted by the school’s climate, and the steps and trainings necessary for teachers to help teachers improve climate and safety for their students.

Another focus of her research has explored the relationship of interpersonal interactions to students’ academic and social outcomes in higher education, and the challenges in transitioning to an online learning environment.

Upon graduation, she aims to continue to focus on the effects of interpersonal interactions in higher education, with the goal to enrich the rapidly expanding field of online higher education.
